Worry vs Concerned
Many individuals feel they’re carrying an immense burden filled with stress and worry. They are convinced that they must carry the weight of their challenges alone. This sense of responsibility can be overwhelming, making them feel like every problem, large or small, rests squarely on their shoulders. They may believe that showing vulnerability or seeking help is a sign of weakness, preferring instead to internalize their concerns. This self-imposed isolation can lead to a cycle of heightened anxiety and exhaustion as they struggle to maintain control and manage everything without relief.
One day, while I was feeling this way, the Lord said to me,” Why are you trying to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders? When I carry it in my palm.”
God has not called you to worry about life. Yes, you are commissioned to be “concerned” with the matters of life that are within your control, such as your effort, attitude, and reactions, but the rest is up to God. Trying to control every little thing in your life isn’t faith. It leaves no room for God to be in control. It leaves no room in your life for God to show you his love and power, which surpasses your understanding.
Stop being a control freak, let go, and let God be God.
